Giving back to the community is a key priority for Manitoba Lotteries. Every year they proudly invest in Manitoba’s communities through support, volunteerism and sponsorship of hundreds of events. In 2009 alone they invested over $7 million.
Because the range of programs that Manitoba Lotteries support is vast, they came to MCG with the challenge of formulating a design template that could be used across all their advertising and communication materials in various areas of sponsorship.
What the MCG design team created was much more than just a simple template – they composed a detailed toolkit with unified content and guidelines that could be rolled out across all of Manitoba Lotteries’ sponsorship areas. This allows for the client to build ads with minimal fuss, while being assured of a consistent, identifiable look across all materials and applications.
Aspects of the toolkit include guidelines on typography and graphics as well as multiple, original illustrations pertaining to specific sponsorship categories. These multiple elements allow for variation and longevity of use. All of these features combine to form the unique look and feel of the SOC brand.

MCG also produces an annual brochure with a full report on Manitoba Lotteries’ Supporting Our Communities activities and events throughout the year.

With the SOC toolkit, Manitoba Lotteries has been able to raise awareness of its community contributions by applying a consistent, compelling look to its communications and advertising. The refreshed brand has helped elevate the profile of the range of support and level of investment Manitoba Lotteries offers charitable causes across the province.
