In 2009, the WFF was expanding to include a fifth day, which would remain a permanent feature of the event. The agency developed campaign collateral to raise awareness of the extra day and to position the Winnipeg Folk Festival as an internationally-renowned celebration of musical exploration.
Our team developed the positioning line of “5 days of discovery” for the creative and applied it to all advertising and communication material connected to the festival, including outdoor boards, print advertising, program brochures and concert schedules.
MCG designed the celebrated sleeve for the festival compilation CD, ‘Disc of Discovery.’
And what’s a community festival without a bunch of branded swag? Posters. Frisbees. Guitar picks. Hoodies. Programs. You name it; we designed it.
We designed numerous festival brochures as well as the festival program book – always a favourite festival keepsake.
The guitar picks were a massive hit with festival attendees.
Other collateral items included festival branded hoodies, travel mugs and frisbees. All of the collateral pieces were extremely popular with fans who flocked to the merchandise tent and lined up for the new festival swag.
