Attendees and performers at the outdoor folk fest have come to appreciate the ever-present dragonfly, flocks of which fill the air on a daily basis during the five day event. MCG took inspiration from this well-loved creature, gave it a musical twist and made it the symbol for all the 2011 Winnipeg Folk Festival creative materials.
The Winnipeg Folk Festival dragonfly could be seen displayed on billboards throughout Winnipeg.
Our team designed a seven-panel brochure and a 144-page program book – a festival keepsake – to help keep everyone apprised of all the festival offerings.

A poster and flyer were also developed to promote the bike ride to the festival program.
The festival offers a variety of programs to encourage burgeoning musicians and artists to fine-tune their skills. Leading up to the festival, artists and musicians work with mentors in their field and can showcase their talents at the festival. Our team developed brochures and posters to promote these programs.
We worked with the Winnipeg Folk Festival team to redesign their existing website.
As well as brochures and posters, we were responsible for designing some cool festival swag items such as t-shirts, wristbands, buttons and of course the festival passes them-selves.
