The FLOFORM Countertops $100,000 Kitchen Party contest has been an enormous success. Since the contest launched September 5, FLOFORM has increased their following on Facebook, where the contest is hosted, from 400 to 3,783 – an increase of over 800 per cent.
Over 250 entries were submitted on an app MCG’s digital department developed for the client’s Facebook page. Each entrant was asked to submit up to two photos and a story explaining who they would invite to their dream kitchen party, and why. The concept and creative was developed by MCG. Following an eight-week entry period an independent jury selected 20 finalists. A week long public vote then determined the grand prize winner.
The grand prize is a kitchen party valued at $25,000. This includes the cost and installation of a brand new Cambria countertop, an extravagantly catered kitchen party for the unveiling, and the cost of air travel for up to four party guests from anywhere in North America.
“The entries have been hilarious, creative, ambitious and heartwarming, and the client is very pleased with the response and the high level of engagement with the FLOFORM Countertops brand,” says Erik Athavale, MCG Account Director. “One of my favourite entries is one where the entrant details inviting the cast of ‘Seinfeld’ to the party and how the episode would play out.”
Secondary, weekly and daily prizes were also given away throughout the contest period.
The FLOFORM Countertops $100,000 Kitchen Party contest celebrated the 50th anniversary of the quality countertops manufacturer.
The grand prize winner was surprised at her home in Calgary by the Floform team and a videographer. The fun all got caught on tape.
