Since 2010, McKim has been involved on a pro bono basis with downtown Winnipeg fixture, the Pan Am Boxing Club. Pan Am Boxing has always been dedicated to helping youth achieve their potential through the rigorous discipline of sport. In 2012, Pan Am Place was opened. The charity and home for at-risk young men brings the same discipline to help residents, who use PAP as a base to work towards a positive life in supportive and healthy environment. For Pan Am Place, resident recruitment must happen at the street level, since many of these young men live on the streets or spend a significant amount of time outside their homes. Posters were the obvious choice.
McKim is very pleased to be helping PAP, a member-run, not-for-profit organization bring positive change to a deserving group of people. We’re also proud to assist both Pan Am Boxing and Pan Am Place in their efforts to contribute to the culture of our neighbourhood — the fabulous Exchange District.
Learn more about, and consider donating to, Pan Am Place through their website, which McKim designed in 2017.
